Energy Assistance Program Outreach Initiative
New York State Electric & Gas (NYSEG) has launched a dedicated outreach initiative to increase enrollment in its Energy Assistance Program (EAP). Disabled veterans and surviving spouses of service members receiving either Veterans Disability or Survivors Pension benefits may qualify for EAP without an income eligibility requirement. Many eligible individuals are not aware of this benefit and are missing out on valuable monthly relief. NYSEG further encourages all utility customers to contact their own providers to request information on how to apply.
